Galway, Ireland - Galway Cathedral (Part 3) - August 2025

Second-to-last post of the Galway Cathedral! This is mostly some of the statues and ephemera inside the cathedral that I thought was pretty.

Rows of unlit blue glass candles, one in front is lit. Set in a dim space, creating a calm, serene atmosphere.
As always, I lit a candle for MRD.
Statue of a crowned figure in flowing robes, lit dramatically with blue lighting, creating a solemn mood. Text reads: "FEXANDIP PHOTOGRAPHY."
A statue of Mary is bathed in light beside a vibrant stained glass window depicting a haloed figure in a dimly lit stone-walled room.
Statue of Mary in blue-lit church with icon below. Many lit candles create a serene ambiance. Wall art in background.
A statue of Mary illuminated in blue light, surrounded by lit candles and a religious painting, in a dimly lit church setting.
Blue-lit stone dome interior with arched windows casting warm light. Text on the wall reads "Hominibus Bonae Voluntatis." Calm, serene mood.
Blue-lit dome interior with glowing windows and dark stone walls. Latin text visible on the arch. Moody, architectural scene.
I am a little confused in what the thing in the bottom left of the photo is supposed to be. A celestial horseshoe? Does that seem to belong in a cathedral, if so?
A stone crucifix is mounted on a dark brick wall, depicting a figure with arms outstretched. The image has a somber tone with muted colors.

My name is Angie.  I find normal to be largely boring.  I am really lucky to get to spend time behind my camera doing all kinds of fun things, and also super-really annoying my kids by taking a million photos of them.
