Halloween - October 2010

Our family loves Halloween. We love it so much more than it's practical to love Halloween, and I don't feel bad about it. We try to get the children costumes they love, and I do all sorts of crafts and arts for Halloween decorations. It makes us happy, so we do it. As such, it makes sense to share the kids' costumes year by year. The first few years (before I got my good camera) are going to have some pretty sparse photos, but here we go.

For A's first Halloween, she was a little ladybug. I think we maybe even got this costume before she was born. What was funny was that she fell asleep prior to trick-or-treat even starting, so we didn't even get to share the costume beyond our house - but it was still wonderful. She was adorable.

Baby in a red ladybug costume with black spots and heart antennae, lying on a soft beige blanket. Calm expression, cozy setting.
Look at those teeny tiny little fists! That hat did not last very long.

Sleeping baby in a red ladybug costume with black spots and a pink pacifier. Lying on a green textured blanket, serene and peaceful.
This was 20 minutes before trick-or-treat began. Out like a light.

Woman holding and kissing a baby dressed in red and black, on a brown sofa with a red cushion. The scene feels warm and affectionate.
My sweetest girl.

My name is Angie.  I find normal to be largely boring.  I am really lucky to get to spend time behind my camera doing all kinds of fun things, and also super-really annoying my kids by taking a million photos of them.
