Photo Backlog - C - August 2015

Similar to A, C has a summer birthday. His is in August. I was able to sit with him and do a little tiny photo shoot at a local botanical garden on his first birthday with my new starter DSLR, in addition to some photos we got taken of him. I feel a little guilty that I didn't have a camera to take photos of A when she was really little, too - but in my defense, it was a much more expensive market then and we were not necessarily in that place financially.

I'm not actually mad at these photos, at least most of them. They could use a little more editing to punch them up, and I feel like the third one almost looks like I messed with the texture because C's skin was smooth, but there are several of these I enjoy.

Anyway! Happy birth-month to C!

The boy got my fair skin - you may be able to tell it from these photos.

LOVE photos in black and white, especially with character in the face rather than a traditional smile.

C's face almost looks de-textured here - I don't have the original photo file to edit, but he was a smiley boy.

If I were editing this today, I'd dodge it a little, maybe bump up highlights and lighten the background, but overall I don't hate the different perspective.

I think this may be my favorite of the series.

You could really tell they were related around this age by the cheek situation.
