Swimming - Day 2 - Willemstad, Curacao - November 2025

I didn't get out the good camera on Day 2, but I did pull the GoPro out again. Not a lot of those photos, either, so I'll just post all of them without much preamble.

Underwater snorkeler in a red shirt and mask in clear turquoise water.
The copious numbers of swimming lessons we got CRD before we went came in handy, for sure. There was only one time I was worried about him drowning and had to power-swim out to help him.

Underwater view of a person in an orange dress floating above rocks in turquoise water.
Only our boy can find a way to rock climb in the water.

Snorkeler in orange shirt gives thumbs-up underwater in turquoise water, with rippling reflections and a playful mood.
CRD is giving a thumbs-up here just to snorkeling, but I like to pretend that he's giving one because that's seaweed and not a turd floating next to him.

Snorkeler in orange shirt swims over rocky seabed in clear turquoise water.
CRD loved whenever we swam over a little school of these white fish.

Underwater rocky reef with brown algae and a few striped fish in hazy blue water.
This didn't turn out great, but I think there is an angelfish and another unidentified fish here.

Snorkeler in orange shirt and green goggles swims underwater in turquoise water with fish.

Black-and-white underwater view of a metal staircase with a fish swimming past.
This looks way creepier in black-and-white than it does in color. I love it.

Half-submerged swimmer in a turquoise resort pool with cabanas and palm trees under bright, hazy sun.
JTD and I having a stare down at water-level. Depending on whether or not I used profile correction here, his head appeared either normal size or way too small.

Blue-and-yellow reef fish swimming over coral rocks underwater.
This is so much blurrier than I wanted it to be, as I think reef fish are gorgeous and fascinating - it just was far enough under the surface that there wasn't really enough light.

My name is Angie.  I find normal to be largely boring.  I am really lucky to get to spend time behind my camera doing all kinds of fun things, and also super-really annoying my kids by taking a million photos of them.
