London, England - Buckingham Palace & Harrods - August 2024

You are not allowed to take photos in most of Buckingham Palace, so I'm only going to post photos of the allowed areas. After Buckingham Palace, we rode the tube over to Harrod's to eat and do some shopping.

A tray with two desserts on paper plates, wooden utensils, and a receipt on a wooden table. Outdoor seating with grass in the background.
I got a scone with jam and clotted cream, and A got a little tart thing.

View from a terrace showing a green, striped lawn with scattered birds, surrounded by lush trees under a clear sky. Tranquil setting.
Looking out over a little of the Royal Gardens.

Woman with curly hair enjoys a scone at The Garden Café. Outdoor setting, wooden tables, statue, with clear blue sky. Relaxed mood.
A was enjoying her tart in the Garden Cafe.

Historic mansion with grand columns in the background, set in a spacious, green lawn under a canopy of trees, conveying a tranquil mood.
A view of the rear of the Palace from the gift shop.

Historic building facade with ornate design stands under a cloudy sky. Signs for Harrods and Dior visible, along with a London Underground sign.
Sort of like the mothership of British shopping.

A and I grabbed a bite at the Cafe.

A woman sits at a restaurant table with a bowl of seasoned fries in focus. The setting is warmly lit, with a relaxed dining atmosphere.
These were perhaps the best truffle fries I've ever had.

Store interior with green and black Harrods bags on display. Shelves have mugs, books, and merchandise. Bright lighting and a modern design.
I now own one of these bad boys.

Directory board in a mall with floors labeled 6 to LG, listing departments and services. Adjacent colorful travel ad with tropical scene.
The many, many departments of Harrod's.

People on escalators inside an Egyptian-themed building with hieroglyphs. Warm lighting, ornate decor, bustling atmosphere.
The most elegant of escalators.

My name is Angie.  I find normal to be largely boring.  I am really lucky to get to spend time behind my camera doing all kinds of fun things, and also super-really annoying my kids by taking a million photos of them.
