Photo Backlog - AKD and CRD - February 2016

It's been a hot minute since I did any photo backlog. I assume it will be years before I'm caught up, so that's fun. These photos are just from bumming around. CRD was 1.5, so he was hard to pin down into a photo - hence, these are just photos of him playing. AKD had MLK Jr day off from kindergarten, so she and I went to the Science Center in Des Moines. I'm terrible about getting photos taken in winter, so these are really the only presentable ones. Also - as I go through the backlog, you can tell that I was really just feeling my way around my crop-sensor intro DSLR for quite a while.

A baby smiles while sitting in a toy car. The background is a cozy room with soft lighting. The toy car is yellow and red.
The boy did not slow down. Ever.
Black and white photo of a focused baby looking to the side, with a soft expression. The baby rests on a blurred dark background.
Not crisp, but in my defense, our lighting in our old house was TERRIBLE. And I had just a Rebel and a kit lens.
A baby in a red shirt chews a wooden item, holding a blue toy. The background is blurred with warm colors, creating a cozy mood.

A child with curly hair, wearing glasses and a red shirt, plays with bubbles at a table. Bright, playful atmosphere.
At the Science Center
Child with glasses and curly hair crawls through a green play tunnel, wearing a pink and gray shirt, in a brightly lit indoor play area.
Terrible white balance, but the larger point is that A loved these tunnels at the Science Center.
Child with curly hair and glasses looks down thoughtfully, holding a paper cutout. The background is blurred, adding a calm mood. Black and white.
I believe we were at Ted's Coney Island here - our family loves Ted's, so my dad came over and met us for his lunch break. If you aren't a frequent visitor, you're doing Ingersoll Avenue wrong.
Child with curly hair and glasses touches a plasma globe. Blue and purple electric arcs. Focused expression, dark background, colorful light.
A absolutely loved the zappy thing of which I don't know the name. Also, look at those cheeks.
A child with glasses and curly hair in a red jacket touches a plasma globe, with blue and purple light, in a dimly lit room, focused.

My name is Angie.  I find normal to be largely boring.  I am really lucky to get to spend time behind my camera doing all kinds of fun things, and also super-really annoying my kids by taking a million photos of them.
