County Clare, Ireland - Cliffs of Moher (Part 1) - August 2025

I'd scheduled JTD and I for a daytrip via bus to the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, the Wild Atlantic Way, and Galway for the day after the ISU game. Although they had a rental car, we ended up talking my friend at Photography 139 and his buddy Andy into accompanying us on the trip.

I loaded up with a bunch of Dramamine and some motion sickness patches for behind my ear, and we were off to the west side of Ireland!

Purple thistle flowers in foreground, set against the Cliffs of Moher and ocean under a cloudy sky. Lush, green landscape.

Dramatic cliffs with lush green tops overlook a calm sea under a cloudy sky. Wildflowers dot the grassy foreground, creating a serene scene.

Cliff edge overlooks calm sea, topped by a solitary tower. Lush green grass contrasts with rugged stone, under a partly cloudy sky.
This castle looked really cool - until you got there, and there was a crazy long line to just go up and look out of the window on the top floor. We tapped out of that line after about five minutes when it did not appear to be moving.
Green cliffs overlooking a calm ocean under a partly cloudy sky. A fence lines the grassy edge, creating a peaceful and natural scene.
Cows rest on a green hillside under a cloudy sky, with distant fields and a river visible in the background. Calm, pastoral scene.
Livestock must have a really good sense of where cliffs are.
Cows lounging on green grass by a stone wall in a scenic countryside. Rolling hills and cloudy skies stretch into the distance.

My name is Angie.  I find normal to be largely boring.  I am really lucky to get to spend time behind my camera doing all kinds of fun things, and also super-really annoying my kids by taking a million photos of them.
