Happy 16, M.

Sixteen years ago today, our first miracle IVF baby was stillborn. M came into the world quietly - her, the medical staff, J and I, we were all quiet. Her presence was beautiful and serene, and deserved that quietude.

On her sweet 16, I wanted to include a few random photos I have of quietness in nature. None are particularly special or noteworthy; in fact, each were ones that I just have in some of my backlog from when I was waiting for clients to show up for different photo shoots in 2020. But they're all still, all quiet. All representing some of life's beauty, just as she did. Happy birthday, M. We love you so much.

Pink magnolia flowers bloom on branches against a clear blue sky. The petals appear delicate and soft, creating a serene mood.
I don't have any photos of the flower that is her middle name, so these will fill in.

Bright sunlight filters through vibrant red and orange autumn leaves against a clear blue sky, creating a warm, serene atmosphere.

Fuzzy, black and orange caterpillar crawls on a rusty surface. Blurred greenish background, with soft lighting creating a calm mood.

Spiderweb glistening in sunlight among vibrant green leaves. Blurred background with a tranquil, natural atmosphere.

Close-up of a single grass stem with fluffy seed head, set against a warm, blurred golden-yellow background, evoking a serene mood.

My name is Angie.  I find normal to be largely boring.  I am really lucky to get to spend time behind my camera doing all kinds of fun things, and also super-really annoying my kids by taking a million photos of them.
