Halloween - October 2019

At this rate, maybe we'll catch up to current day by the time October 2025 rolls around!

This was our first Halloween in our new house. It was a great move - not only because we love the house, but because our old house was on a dark cul-de-sac that would get like three trick-or-treaters, and our new house gets 50+ on a slow Halloween. This was our second-most monochromatic Halloween ever. It's weird that both kids were almost pure black the year before, and this year they were black and red. Anyway. A wasn't a strong female icon per se this year, but I sure wouldn't screw around with a vampiress. C was obsessed with ninjas, so we bought two costumes and pieced them together into his vision. I apparently don't have a wealth of photos from this year, but here's all I have.

A - age 9 - vampiress

C - age 5 - ninja

Two children in Halloween costumes, one as a vampire and the other as a ninja, pose on a porch with pumpkins and spiderweb decor.
Even their shoes matched.

C has never not committed, while A looks regal and above the nonsense.

Girl in a vampire costume smiles outside a house. Pumpkins on the steps, and spider webs decorate the porch. Festive Halloween setting.
I don't love this "wearing lipstick" thing, even though she looks gorgeous!

Child in black ninja costume with red accents strikes a martial arts pose. Halloween pumpkins and decorations visible on a porch.
Very specific ninja ideas.

That long neck worked perfectly with the vampires collar!

My name is Angie.  I find normal to be largely boring.  I am really lucky to get to spend time behind my camera doing all kinds of fun things, and also super-really annoying my kids by taking a million photos of them.
